Frederik Ruysch was a Dutch botanist and anatomist. A biography on Ruysch by Johan Friedrich Schreiber was added in 1732. In 1744, 13 years after Ruysch's death, the CW were translated into Dutch by Ysbrand Gysbert Arlebout (Alle de Ontleed‐, Genees‐ en Heelkundige Werken) [Ruysch, 1744].
